to Liz who originally inspired me

to try avacado stone carving.

reminding me of the Olden Days when Ravelry first started

so long ago that I've forgotten my flickr log-in...

3 January 2013 - Avacado Stone No 3

 

Due to the hot weather this stone is drying and oxidising really quickly.

28 November 2012 - Avacado Stone Number Two

 

As my October avacado stone dried out it's crack eventually

split all the way through.

 

So for my second try I was careful to put a design

on each side of the stone with the split

in between the two.

 

It has been drying out for three days now.

 

The weather is rather tropical this week - hot and humid,

I hope this second stone doesn't end up going mouldy!
